Fringe Flight 627 vs Lost Flight 815

It dawned on my, last Thursday, that there is a numberical coincedence with the shows Lost and Fringe. That coincedence is the number 111.  How is  111 significant?  That is what makes Flight 627 the same as Flight 815 numerically.

You’re probably scratching your head and saying “I don’t get it”.  Then again, you may already figured it out.

Here’s how I arrived at my conclusions:

Take Flight 627 and reverse the digits so it becomes Flight 726
Next, take the digets 111 and use them to minupulate 726.
To do this add 1 to 7 and you get 8
Next subtract 1 from 2 and you get 1
Finally subtract 1 from 6 and you get 5

See it now? Flight 627 = Flight 815

Hope you had fun with this.  There are numerous other similarities I could look into, but I will leave them for a future post.

LOST Theory – Supplemental

This may be my final LOST theory post until the new season arrives in Jan 2009.  I may make a couple, but don’t want to set up any expectations.  Work is kind of hectic right now, thus the delay in this post.

So what do I think now that we’ve seen the 3 part season 4 finale.  I loved every minute of it.
I haven’t seen anything that would contradict my previous theories.  If anything, my speculation has been strengthened.

The only thing that I may reconsider is that instead of Annie and lover in the cave, it could be Amelia Earhart with her co-pilot. Everything, so far stands.

I now think that the timer had something to do with the wheel that moves the island. Maybe it discharged the build up and when Desmond turned the key it locked it in place and the ice was there to keep things in check.

A friend brought up that maybe Widmore turned the wheel in a previous incident and that’s why he isn’t on the island. Also they think the polar bears in Tanisa has something to do with the wheel.  It’s interesting that if you take the numbers, and put them into Google Earth, it puts the island in about the right place of where the island should be.  Now if you go through the earth, it brings you out in Tunisa.

I think Jin survived, but I am in a small minority.  I will hold out hope for him.  Problems that have to be overcome, though, is how to get back to the island. Speaking of which, where are Daniel and the little boat?  DId they go with the island or are they stranded in the Pacific?

Who killed John Lock?  Did he have to move the island and be forced to leave?

Finally where, or should I ask when, is the island? Could it still be in the same place, but different time?  Say maybe 5 years in the future?  I hope the writers don’t keep us guessing for too long.

This is probably my shortest, jumbled, post on LOST. However, I really don’t know what to make of things quite yet.  I need more information to make a better guess of what is going on and THAT is the real fun behind LOST.

LOST Theories Part 2 of 2

Now that I’ve let some thoughts settle down, I thought now is the time to post my second theory concerning the show LOST. After tomorrow nights show, however, everything may change.

My second theory has to do with a more plausible story line. Here goes:

Several thousands of years ago, a large mass of dark matter crashes into a tiny island somewhere on our tiny planet. The resulting impact triggers an eruption of a dormant volcano that covers the dark matter. Years go by. Trees and vegetation cover and break up the hardened lava.

Eventually, man reaches the island. He was able to reach the island because the dark matter was contained and had no influence on the outside world. The “natives” built a society and eventually uncovered the dark matter. Over the years they learned the secrets of the dark matter.

1800s. A ship known as the black rock is blown off coarse by a hurricane and because of the vast amounts of metal equipment for mining, was pulled into the island by the strong magnet that was one of the properties of the dark matter. The natives befriend the crew/slaves of the black rock. Since the ship is beyond repair, they start living their lives and the natives, feeling more secure of their privacy, start to teach them what they’ve learned.

Eventually one, from the black rock leaves the island. Old fears of other people being brought to the island surface. The natives, having taught the Black Rock people a lot about the dark matter (but not everything), took their secret and moved the island from what was probably the Pacific ocean west to the coast of Africa (in the Atlantic Ocean).

Over time, the natives and the remnants of the Black Rock become one group of people and live a quiet life…..until one day a plane crashes. Fearing they have been discovered, they move the island yet again (and somewhere a statue crashes into the ocean).

Years later, a massive group of people (Dharma Initiative) arrive on the island and begin massive construction projects. Having been cut off from the mechanism that moved the island and not sure how to get the new arrivals off the island, they decide to hide.
During the intervening years, Dharma discovered the secrets of moving the island to keep Widmore away. They also discovered the secret to time travel.

In order to keep the time doorway open, they had to charge and inject the energy into the time stream every 108 minutes or risk a cascading time collapse incidence. This happened only once. After the first “incident” a better way was found to do this under the stress of “saving the world”.

With the crash of the scientific team, Dharma needed to protect itself, so it launched the Cerebus security system full time. Four years go by. Rumors persist of a survivor of the scientist hiding out in the forest. She is befriended, but her child taken for experiments to see how a child survived birth on the island since Dharma was trying to conceive for years.

Meanwhile a young love was budding for a young girl named Annie by a Dharma commoner named Ben Linus. To bad for him. Even though they were good friends, Annie was in love with some else. This infuriated Ben to the point he decided to help his new friends and destroy Annie and Dharma at the same time and so he agreed (after protesting earlier) to gas everyone to death. Side note: Adam and Eve were Annie and her lover not Desmond and Penny as speculated my your’s truly 2 years ago.

Finally, twelve years after “The Purge”, a plane hits the distortion bubble caused by the dark matter and the time doorway that was beginning to collapse. Thus begins the story of the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815.

Comments anyone?

A Quick LOST Theory

I have a theory about a portion of the mystery. namely the echoes.  If the others are traveling and using  the tunnels, wouldn’t it make sense that the echoes are coming from there?  We already know that they have hidden stashes and know how to make underground hiding places.  The echoes sounds like it could come from a concrete enclosure.  Anyway, that’s my theory.
